MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

JOHN AND TIFFANY ROLLO
John and Tiffany moved to Shetland in July 2017 to pastor New Life. They have 2 kids, Ariana and Joel and a golden Labrador called Murphy. John was surprised to find he wasn't the only Falkirk FC fan on Shetland. Tiff was delighted that living on an island does not interrupt her online shopping.

ROBERT AND RHONA NICOLSON
Robert and Rhona have both grown up on Shetland and with their 2 teenage girls, Kirsty and Marni, live on the island of Trondra. They have been part of New Life Shetland from the beginning. Robert works in the fishing industry and has a keen interest in classic cars. Rhona works for a local graphic design company and has no interest in cars, classic or otherwise.

ESTHER GAKERE
Originally from Kenya, Esther has lived in Shetland since 2006 with her husband, Charles. Together they have a daughter and a son. Esther has been a key part of the New Life leadership since April 2018.

TIM MORRIS
Tim, originally from Australia, came over to the UK at 10 with his parents, and after a short stint back in Australia to study, moved to Shetland in 2020 with his wife Rachel to oversee the youth ministry of New Life. Tim is currently undertaking the AoG Ministers in Training course and in his spare time loves basketball, music and family days out with Rachel and their dog, Obi.

TEAM LEADERS

SARAH QUINNELL - KIDS WORKER
Sarah joined the New Life staff in August 2018 as our kids worker. Sarah, with her husband Jason and their family have lived in Shetland for around 5 years. She is an early years practitioner in a local school and has a real heart to see kids grow in life and in faith.

TIM AND RACHEL MORRIS - YOUTH LEADERS
We’re excited to have Tim and Rachel as our Youth Leaders at New Life Shetland. They started with us back in January 2020.
Tim and Rachel got married in May 2019 and later that year felt the call of God to move to Shetland and work with the Youth. They love helping the young people discover Jesus, find their own faith and being a support through the tough teenage years - all while having some fun themselves at youth club!
